Health and Safety Training.
Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, imposes a general duty on every employer to provide as much information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of the employees. Our courses cover all aspects of Health and Safety and legal requirements needed to comply with current legislation. Bespoke courses available to suit your requirements.
Risk Assessment Surveys.
Employers and the self -employed have a responsibility under Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of employees and other persons who may be affected by work activities. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSWR) further impose a specific duty upon employers to carry out a suitable and sufficient assessment of all risks to the health and safety of employees and others, arising at or from a work activity. This course starts with a short theory session followed by a practical session with feedback and guidance. We are also able to complete your Risk Assessments and provide a full reference system for you if you wish
Fire Extinguisher Training.
This is probably the most popular course that we run. It gives Company Safety Officers and other employees the knowledge they will require if confronted with Fire. This course covers all types of Extinguishers around the workplace, how to operate them and a practical session to allow your employees the chance to "Have a go" under controlled conditions. Remember the quicker a fire is controlled the more chance you have of opening tomorrow. See Course Content
Fire Warden/Marshall Training.
Candidates that have attended the Extinguisher course usually ask to continue their training and become designated Fire Wardens. Each course covers how to conduct fire drills, how to evacuate safely and how to carryout a role call once the evacuation has been completed. Also covered in the course is How to protect against Arson. These are a valuable asset for any company in this age of litigation and high compensation claims. Make sure that the building is clear of staff in the event of Fire. Have someone to assist with that Fire Drill and if needed a full Fire evacuation. Manual Handling Training.
This is the biggest loss of revenue to industry. Are your staff able to carry out their tasks Safely and without injury to themselves or other work colleagues. This course has been designed to assist those people engaged in Manual Handling of goods around the workplace whether it be on the shop floor or the office. All have their own problems. Contained within this course is a practical session that allows the candidate to carry out a Risk Assessment and provide solutions to particular problems. This course has proved very successful and has reduced accident/injury rates in the workplace of those Companies that have taken advantage of this Training.
First Aid and CPR Training.
This is another popular course that we run. They range from basic life support (CPR) to full 4 day with exam courses. The Health and Safety (first aid) regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate provision, equipment and personnel to respond to any injury at work. Companies will need to have well stocked first aid boxes and the trained personnel. For up to 50 staff, one trained first aider, for 50 -100 staff - one first aider, and for over 100 staff an additional first aider per 100 extra staff.
AED Training.
The use of Automated External Defibrillation (AED)s are becoming more and more common. Approximately 150,000 people die from cardiac arrest each year. Not only in the workplace but also public buildings and airports. The rapid use of this piece of life saving equipment can give the casualty the best chance of survival. With a trained operator the casualties chance of survival increases from 5% to 80%. Many companies are investing in this vital piece of equipment.

Fire Extinguisher Servicing.
All our products conform to BS EN3 and we can offer sales on all types of extinguishers as well as a rental or hire service . Servicing can be done at your premises without fuss or mess and performed within accordance with British Standards by fully trained FETA Engineers. We can also carry out the statutory annual examination of your fire extinguishers.
